A friend of mine once clarified the graphic novel/comic book thing very well when he compared it all to the difference between movies and TV shows.

Comic books are those 22 page magazines that come out once a month. They're like television episodes; they should be a full story (with a beginning, middle, and end) but also be part of a larger narrative.

Graphic novels are longer, one-and-done stories that a full narrative on their own. They are like movies.

What confuses people are when a comic book series (say, Watchmen) later gets collected into a single book. That's a trade paperback (TPB) and is like a DVD box set of a TV series. Watchmen is a comic book series, while 300 is a graphic novel. (In reality, very few actual graphic novels get written per year, Hollywood just likes to call everything a graphic novel because they think comic book sound silly)

Long explaination for such a pointless topic, I know. But I just like to hear myself type.

And then people wonder why i'm agnostic. I don't worry about the Bible cause it's not my book. i've got my own beliefs and i'm happy with them, especially since i don't need to tell anyone with different beliefs to go to hell.

Personally I thought Hero of Time wasn't THAT bad. Sure it had its issues, but at least the story structure was based closely on OOT. Oh well, Nintendo shut it down anyway. Let's hope the Mega Man movie does better.

Here's something to think about, Hero of Time gets shut down and sued by Nintendo. But Legend of Neil hasn't, mainly cause the latter doesn't take itself seriously. Nintendo also didn't lay any legal action on the Mother 3 or Fatal Frame 4 translation projects.

I also agree with u with the Megaman movie, Mega man hasn't really had a lot of story through out its history though

you think mega man's story is simple? well...

Dr. wily and Dr. light team up to create robots to take over various human jobs until Wily takes the robots and turned them into tools of destructoin, Light then makes mega man to destroy these robots and capture wily. Eventually mega man gets rebuilt as mega man x to battle sigma, along with zero who was wily's final creation who got turned to the good side after getting defeated by sigma once. Then mega man x fights Dr. Weil in the elf wars which gets ended by zero and x sacrificing themselves. X get rebuilt as mega man trigger, and goes to destroy the elysium system. Then trigger dies, and gets transferred into a biometal, created by the evil Dr. weil, and gets reawakened in the ZX games to battle Serphent who's trying to reawaken biometal W (Dr. weil) and destroy the world...

Religious people drive me crazy because all of their arguments are logically fallacious and then when you mention that, they then commit MORE logical fallacies! I guess there are two types of christian's, the up-tight super-preachy ones, and the laid-back one's. I'm part of the latter, and i strongly dis-like the other type. Although i slightly agree with them, i'd let the people choose what they want to do with their lives, and if they want to marry someone the same gender, that's their decision.
